HVAC Career Stats

When you decide to pick a HVAC college program, the first thing that you must find out is that your preferred destination college you have selected has the necessary accreditations. This is an extremely important factor, as it means that the training program supplied will be at par with the standards specified by approved HVAC organizations.

The most prominent accrediting agencies for HVAC training programs is the NCCEA, the Partnership for Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration, HVAC Excellence, North American Technician Excellence and Research, Environmental Protection Agency, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. You MUST select a college that has at least one accreditation.

Smaller class sizes are also important, because then you will receive one on one help from the instructors. The best colleges teaching HVAC courses will also have an on-campus science lab with modern equipment. Before enrolling make sure you visit and explore the campus and get a feel of the place, the instruction rooms, the facilities available and talk to the faculty, if possible. You should also find out if they provide any flexibility in time-managing classes for working students, and also how you could go about requesting financial aid, if required.
